My Work
The majority of my work has been for internal company use. I am not authorized to provide screenshots for much of this work, but I can discuss some of it. Below you will find a list of some of my most interesting applications and projects, with screenshots of my work where possible.
Application Manager
This was my biggest and most successful project at Leggett and Platt. This application is used in conjunction with the Common Library that I wrote to provide a standard means of application configuration and security management. Every new application written by the Windows Developers at Leggett and Platt is now managed through this application.
Common Library
The common library is a set of class libraries that I wrote in order to provide standard implementations of common functionality in an easy to use and understand form. These libraries are now used by every Windows Develoepr at Leggett and Platt and every new application is built on top of these libraries.
Tlynn Photography
This is a website that I did for a photographer in Southeast Kansas. She wanted an easy way to display her work and allow clients to see all of their photos on line so they can order prints that they want.
Tlynn PhotographyWedge Machine
This is by far the most interesting and challenging project that I have ever worked on. My dad and I did a consulting job for the Umicore Optical Group to design and build a machine capable of measuring the wedge on extremely low tolerance lenses. The machine had to be capable of measuring wedge withing less than one thousandth of an inch.
My dad designed and built the physical machine while I designed and developed the software necessary to operate it. We collaborated on the mathematics involved in deriving accurate wedge and roundness values. The user interface was built as a WPF desktop application which communicates with the user, a database, three indicators, six motors, and a switch panel.
GoodMoney, LLC
This is a website that I did for a woman starting her own business in Ohio. It consists of nothing more than static HTML, CSS, and a couple of images.
GoodMoney, LLCTheLoveComeback.com
The Love Comeback is an outreach program put on by the Parsons Nazarene Church in Parsons, KS. The site allows people to submit "love requests" to the church if they, or somebody they know, have a need for prayer, food, money, or just about anything else. It also displays videos and love comeback stories from members of the church and other sources. I designed the site style, layout, and graphics from scratch to fit the idea that the pastor had in mind.
The Love ComebackOrder Manager
This was the very first serious application I ever wrote. My parents own a precision machine shop and they needed some software to help manage their orders, inventory, and shipments as well as print labels and packing lists. I wrote the software that they asked for, and more than six years later it's still in use.
I would be more than happy to discuss any of these project with you in more detail.
